Online Event Registration Justice Affairs
The Cuyahoga County, Ohio Department of Justice Affairs is the agency of Cuyahoga County government responsible for a broad range of county services including public safety, emergency preparedness and a variety of victim services and crime prevention activities.
The emergency management staff within the department of Justice Affairs needed a way to allow first responders such as fire department and police officials to easily register online for training events, classes and seminars. In addition to online registration, the department required that registrants be able to log in and change registration details, cancel their registration and view their class history. Also, the department required the ability to set maximum capacities on classes and to provide a waitlist once a class was full. Finally, the department required that registrations be subject to approval, with automatic notification of registrants when their registration was approved or rejected.
iData’s Synapse Publisher® CMS was already powering the department’s Web site, so iData worked with the department to implement enhanced event registration capabilities to allow for online event registration with event waitlists, registration approval and registration history/edit abilities for registrants.
With the enhanced online event registration capabilities in place, staff at the department of Justice Affairs can now publish their own events and set up online registration. Registrants can register online, but also view their registration history and update registrations.
